What is the accommodator’s purpose?
The Accommodator has two primary functions:
1. Independent administrator who assists in compliance with tax
regulations.
2. Fiduciary of all moneys (held in a trust account until the close of
escrow on the replacement property) from the transaction.
OTHER NAMES: The official Internal Revenue Code name is “Qualified
Intermediary.” The term “Facilitator” is also often used. Whatever the name, the
functions are the same.
